The marine park is home to a variety of animal species including bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, harbor seals, penguins, tropical birds, stingrays, and African penguins. It is home to the rare rough-toothed dolphins in long-term human care in North America. The park is an educational facility and is the most significant contributor to Gulf World Marine Institute, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine mammals and sea turtles.
The park was built in 1969 and opened to the public Memorial Day Weekend 1970. Generations of families have visited Gulf World throughout the years as the park has become a staple family destination in Panama City Beach.
An expansion of the marine park was completed in 2000, adding an indoor garden and bottlenose dolphin stadium. Gulf World joined the Dolphin Discovery family in October of 2015.

Gulf World Marine Park hours are currently 10 am to 4 pm We encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance due to limitations on capacity.
Rates:
Adults – $29 + tax
Seniors – $26 + tax (Ages 55 and older)
Children – $23 + tax (Ages 5 – 11)
Young Children – FREE (Ages 4 and under with paid adult)

Access to our snack bars, grill and shopping. PLEASE NOTE: While it takes an average of three hours to enjoy the all the shows and explore the exhibits, you’re welcome to linger longer. Only service animals are permitted in the park, and kennel service is not available for non-service animals.

While they can be booked on site, there is an additional charge for animal encounters and swims.
After the shows and interactive programs, our professional Photo Center would be happy to assist you with your photo package purchase.
Outside food, drink and coolers are not permitted, but you’ll have a variety of tasty snacks to choose from at our onsite eateries! Movie-style popcorn, soft, warm pretzels and even frozen tropical drinks mean you’ll find something to please everyone in your party!
