Panama City Beach Attractions

No Vacation is complete until you take the time to experience some of the things our area has to offer.  After you have put in your time on the sand there is a very long list of what you might want to do next.  Here we will feature some of our local attractions, suggestions on where to get some great food, and recommended things to check out while you are visiting us.

Winter is the most fun season at Camper's Inn RV Campground!

Whether you are a true Snowbird or as we like to say at PCB, a Winter Resident you will have a winter experience here like you've never experienced. We have our very own beach access which is only 300 yards across the road on Thomas Drive to the most beautiful white beach for peaceful quiet walks and the most gorgeous clear turquoise ocean in the Southeast. Not to mention breath taking sunsets and shore fishing. You can also try your luck at paddle boarding and kayaking. (which you can buy right here at our Florida Water Sports and RV Store).

Whether you stay for just a night, a week or all winter you will never get bored, have cabin fever or get homesick here. Activities directors, Brenda and Mike Sherwood pride themselves on keeping all the campers busy and happy!

A trip to Panama City Beach would not be complete without fresh local seafood. The Dybdal and Arnold famlies saw this need and in turn founded Pier 77 Restaurant in 1982, at 3016 Thomas Drive. Just a short distance from Camper's Inn and Florida Watersports this location, ran by the daughter Sandy Arnold, provides their infamous family recipes to the public at affordable prices in a casual and friendly atmosphere.
Shortly after Pier 77 opened, the relatives saw yet another gap in the market and constructed Shrimp City next door. This marketplace, ran by the son Hal Dybdal, Jr., began offering a wide variety of fresh seafood to its customers and to Pier 77 as well. Presently, Shrimp City is still in operation daily, and will even steam and season shrimp for free and pack it for travel.

A buffet of all you can eat great food.  Hosted by local restaurantuer, Jack Bishop, and his experienced crew have been serving the Beach since 1971.   Housed in a beautiful and unique building on Thomas Dr. the seating is plentiful and comfortable even during busy times.  Each night on the dinner menu they feature all you can eat #1 crab legs.  Captain Jacks is just a mile east of Camper's Inn and Florida Watersports at 8208 Thomas Dr.
